Vicki Wagner
Vicki popped into existence in Chicago proclaiming "I'm Vicki Wagner." To this day, she still has the same attitude but has become more humble about her beginnings. Wandering around the country for the first 26 years of her life doing various odd jobs such as the Air Force, a Casino dealer, a waitress, she discovered that her calling was to enlighten the world about the true nature of Gays and Lesbians. Sickened by the ill witted stereotypes, she attended the Academy of Radio and Television Production in Phoenix in 1997. From there, she became a Technical Director for UPN (and a cameraperson, a teleprompter operator, and anything else they wanted her to do). She moved to California to be near her family and found herself working for a 24 hour newsstation as a Master Control Engineer. Bored to death, and still not completing her mission of changing the world, she started her own production company in 1999 and has since made 5 documentaries and completed several video projects for the Gay community. Now she makes her mortgage payment by producing legal law videos for the legal industry. Ho Hum. Making ANYTHING under a half an hour became her next challenge and she joined Group101 to hone the craft of telling a story, complete with a twist in under three minutes. Lou Pepe
After his career as an accordionist failed to materialize, Lou Pepe decided to devote himself to the much more stable profession of filmmaking. He makes both fiction and documentary films, and on cheerier days he admits that his job shooting behind-the-scenes material about Hollywood movies is an amusing collision of the two forms. His documentary feature "The Hamster Factor and Other Tales of Twelve Monkeys" has been screened at festivals internationally and is distributed on DVD by Universal. His fiction film "Moments of Doubt" won the Best Short Film award at the 1999 Hamptons Int'l Film Festival. Lou is pleased to be making a short film every month as part of Group 101, but in off-hours, he continues his quest to bake the perfect lemon meringue pie. [email]
